How much a sponsored YouTube video costs in 2026
The most frequent question when you start doing YouTube sponsorship, on either side of the deal, is "how do we set the price?". Pricing blind guarantees either getting fleeced or losing a deal because you quoted off-market.
This article gathers the order-of-magnitude figures I observe in 2026 on French and English-speaking markets, niche by niche, with real-world quote examples.
The principle: it all starts from CPM
Whether for a channel of 10k or 5M subscribers, almost every deal gets negotiated on a target CPM. The brand asks: "how much am I willing to pay per 1000 people reached in this niche?". Multiplied by expected views, that gives the rate.
Hence the importance of knowing your niche's CPM ranges before talking numbers. Without that, you can't tell if 5,000 € for 200k views (CPM 25 €) is fair, high, or underpriced.
Niche ranges
Finance, investing, B2B (CPM 25-60 €)
The queen niche. Wealthy audience, strong buying intent, very high customer lifetime value. A B2B brand will pay 50 € per 1000 targeted viewers if it converts 0.1 % at a 500 € average ticket.
Real example: EN finance channel, 80k subs, 50k median views per video, short integration (60 sec) → 1,500-2,500 €. CPM 30-50 €.
Typical case: stock broker, online bank, pro training, marketing SaaS.
Tech / SaaS / Pro tools (CPM 20-40 €)
One step below finance but still highly qualified. The buyer is often a decision-maker or freelancer, conversion funnel is longer but LTV is high.
Real example: EN tech channel, 150k subs, 80k median views, 90-sec integration → 2,000-3,500 €. CPM 25-40 €.
Typical case: productivity SaaS, web hosting, creative software, dev tools.
Lifestyle / Fashion / Beauty (CPM 15-30 €)
The queen niche for physical product sponsorship. Direct e-commerce conversion, moderate average ticket but high volume.
Real example: EN beauty channel, 300k subs, 200k median views, 2-min integration with promo code → 3,000-5,000 €. CPM 15-25 €.
Typical case: cosmetics, fashion, decor, food, travel.
Family / Parenting / Vlog (CPM 10-25 €)
Very loyal audience, engagement rate often above 8 % (YouTube average is ~4 %). Moderate CPM but ROI is usually excellent thanks to accumulated trust.
Real example: EN family channel, 250k subs, 150k median views, long product integration → 2,000-3,500 €. CPM 13-23 €.
Typical case: toys, kid food, furniture, home insurance.
Gaming (CPM 8-18 €)
The most "crushed" niche on CPM despite huge volumes. Young audience (often <25), limited purchase power, strong sensitivity to "sellout" perception. Sponsorship works if the brand has a coherent product (gear, games, energy drinks).
Real example: EN gaming channel, 800k subs, 400k median views, short integration → 4,000-7,000 €. CPM 10-18 €.
Typical case: gaming peripherals, video games, streaming platforms, energy drinks.
General entertainment / Sketch (CPM 5-15 €)
Very high volume, weakly segmented audience. Low CPM but sponsorship works for mass-market branding rather than direct conversion.
Real example: EN sketch channel, 2M subs, 800k median views → 6,000-12,000 €. CPM 7-15 €.
Typical case: telecom operators, fast food, consumer apps, insurance.
Summary table
| Niche | Low CPM | High CPM | Median |
|---|---|---|---|
| Finance / B2B | 25 € | 60 € | ~40 € |
| Tech / SaaS | 20 € | 40 € | ~28 € |
| Lifestyle / Fashion | 15 € | 30 € | ~20 € |
| Family / Vlog | 10 € | 25 € | ~17 € |
| Gaming | 8 € | 18 € | ~13 € |
| Entertainment | 5 € | 15 € | ~9 € |
Factors that move the price
The ranges above are averages. Several levers can justify going above or below:
Integration format
- Quick mention (15-30 sec): base rate, sometimes -20 %
- Medium integration (60-90 sec): reference rate
- Long integration (2-5 min): +30 to +50 %
- Dedicated video: 2-3x the rate of an equivalent integration
Engagement
A channel with engagement rate (likes + comments / views) above 6 % can justify a CPM 30-50 % above its niche. Brands know engagement converts better.
Audience geography
An audience that's 80 % UK is worth more to a UK advertiser than one that's 30 % UK and 70 % outside relevant markets, even at identical view counts. Ask the creator for the "audience by country" stat from YouTube Studio.
Exclusivity
If the brand asks for an exclusivity clause (no competitor sponsorship for 3-6 months), expect +30 to +50 %. That's expensive for the creator in lost opportunity.
Usage rights
If the brand wants to reuse the video on their own channels (paid ads, social, website), expect +50 to +100 %. That's ad production at that point.
Traps for advertisers
- Pricing on subscribers: a 500k-subscriber YouTuber can do 50k views per video. Always negotiate on median views over the last 6 months, not on subscriber count.
- Paying on lifetime views: on evergreen content it ends at a 1 € CPM. Prefer 30 days.
- No cap: if the video pops to 5M views instead of the expected 200k, you pay it all. Always negotiate a cap.
- No tracking: without a tracked link or unique promo code, you'll never know if the campaign converted.
Traps for creators
- Underselling the first deal: if you sign at 5 € CPM in a 20 € niche, the brand will use it as reference for renegotiations and other creators will hear about it.
- No contract: insist on a contract with payment terms (Net 30 is standard), late fees, modification clauses.
- Mixing affiliate and sponsorship: affiliate is commission per click/sale, sponsorship is a fixed rate. If a brand offers "10 % commission" for 50k views, it's rarely in your favor.
